A. Shiprepair and conversions
AHI knows that time is costly. Our skilled workers are available round-the-clock to provide high quality services at the fastest turnaround time.

With our experience of handling more than 1
40 vessels of various configurations each year, we are able to carry out a wide diversity of repairs and conversions to the satisfaction of our clients.

Vessels repaired at AHI yard include conventional cargo vessels, tankers, offshore supply boats, anchor handling tugs, offshore drilling
rigs, pipe laying vessels, barges, tugboats, fishing vessels, split barges and dredgers.

Together with our subsidiary, Arab Eagle Marine Engineering LLC based in Dubai, we are also able to carry out afloat and anchorage repairs anywhere in the Gulf and drydocking of vessels in the Dubai Shipdocking Yard.

The following Shiprepair services are offered by AHI :

  • Dry-docking for annual and special surveys by leading classification societies;
  • Cleaning, blasting and painting of hulls and tank internals;
  • Damage and emergency repairs;
  • Ship conversions and modifications;
  • Overhauling and installation of main and auxiliary diesel engines and deck machinery
  • Electrical repairs and installations; and
  • Afloat repairs along the wharf or offshore running repairs.

B. Shipbuilding

With its comprehensive facilities, including two new building berths and a trained workforce, AHI is capable of new building jobs such as tugboats, supply vessels, cargo barges, multi-purpose work barges, landing craft, coastal freighters, jackups and jetties and pontoons.

AHI can also draw on the technical and engineering support of the Keppel Group's wealth of experience for both marine and offshore construction.

Combining this with AHI's understanding of the vessel requirements in the Gulf area, we are able to offer total solutions to our clients.

AHI has in year 2000 built and delivered a 52 meter DNV classed Self-propelled, Self-elevating (jack up, 260 feet lattice legs) Multi Purpose Service Vessel for a UK Owner. The DNV-classed vessel has been designed and built conforming to all rules and requirements for operation in the Gulf Area including the MODU Code.

To date , AHI has successfully built and delivered vessels such as:

C. Steel Fabrication and Engineering
AHI operates one of the largest and best-equipped steel fabrication shops in the Gulf. The fabrication shop comprises a 9,000 square-meter (sqm) covered workshop and a 75,000sqm open fabrication area.

Manned by highly skilled technicians, who are committed to stringent quality control in line with international standards, AHI has earned the reputation of being a quality fabrication yard in the region.

In 1998, AHI successfully built and delivered in co-operation with Keppel FELS Cranes, eight new-generation 16 wheeled Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGs) for Aden Container port in Yemen. Our track record in fabrication includes:

D. Offshore-Repair and Modification to MODUS
AHI's involvement with the Offshore Industry in the Gulf dates back to the early 70's during the development of the oil exploration industry and was one of the pioneer facilities set up for the purpose.


The comprehensive steel fabrication shop and the large fabrication areas are specially catered for construction of modules, jackets, legs and other steel structures.

More than 500 meters of repair berths are available for alongside work.   A 5000T load out facility also allows efficient load out of heavy structures safely and efficiently.

With the skilled workforce and the effective project management teams, AHI is able to undertake offshore projects quickly and economically.

Supported by the extensive experience and technical expertise of the Keppel Group, AHI offers complete solutions to all repair, refurbishment, modification and upgrading of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units.

E. Afloat and Anchorage Repairs
Arab Eagle Marine Engineering (AEME) in Dubai is the afloat repair division of AHI.Based in Dubai Shipdocking Yard, Al Jadaf, AEME is able to mobilise repair teams to any port or anchorage in the UAE at short notice. 

AEME provides the full range of shipcare service, which includes.

  • Docking repairs to vessels up to 115 meters
  • Steel repairs.
  • Engine and other mechanical equipment.
  • Electrical repairs, trouble shooting and rewinding.
  • Blasting and painting.
  • Piping renewals.
